Position Overview

Missing Link Security is seeking a highly motivated Junior COMSEC Analyst to support an Army G-6 customer at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The analyst will provide communications and COMSEC support while managing complex staff actions, workflows, and taskers in a fast-paced Army headquarters environment.

This position is ideal for a proactive, mission-oriented professional who takes ownership of assigned actions, works effectively across multiple stakeholders, and is eager to develop deeper expertise in Army communications, COMSEC, and cryptographic modernization.

Extensive prior COMSEC experience is not required. We are particularly interested in candidates with military experience, especially those with backgrounds in Army Signal, tactical communications, radios, cyber, or military staff operations. The successful candidate will bring a strong work ethic, initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

This position requires 100% onsite support at Fort Belvoir. Remote and hybrid work are not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Support Army G-6 staff activities involving communications, COMSEC, cybersecurity, and cryptographic modernization initiatives.
• Manage complex workflows, taskers, and staff actions through the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), ensuring actions are properly coordinated, tracked, and completed within established suspense dates.
• Coordinate taskers across multiple stakeholders and organizations, track dependencies and deliverables, follow up on outstanding actions, and proactively identify potential delays or issues requiring Government attention.
• Assist Government personnel with the research, coordination, staffing, and completion of requests for information, executive-level correspondence, decision packages, and other mission requirements.
• Develop and maintain trackers and other mechanisms necessary to provide visibility into the status of open actions, milestones, deliverables, and upcoming suspense dates.
• Work with Government officials, Army organizations, Warfighters, technical personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather information, coordinate requirements, and drive actions to completion.
• Assist in developing briefings, reports, correspondence, information papers, decision papers, meeting materials, and other staff products for Government leadership.
• Support analysis of Army tactical and enterprise communications requirements, including secure voice, data, radio, and other communications capabilities.
• Assist with efforts to modernize Army COMSEC and cryptographic capabilities to improve interoperability, security, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
• Research existing and emerging communications, COMSEC, cybersecurity, and cryptographic technologies and provide findings and recommendations to Government personnel.
• Assist senior technical and policy personnel in reviewing COMSEC requirements, policies, procedures, and modernization initiatives.
• Engage with Warfighters and Army stakeholders to understand operational communications requirements and identify challenges affecting mission execution.
• Develop working knowledge of applicable NSA/CSS, Army, DoD, NIST, and other COMSEC and cybersecurity policies, regulations, and standards.
• Proactively identify issues, follow up on open actions, and help ensure Government requirements are addressed accurately and on time.

• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Previous DoW or U.S. military experience.
• Ability to work 100% onsite at Fort Belvoir, VA.

• Ability and willingness to learn technical concepts related to COMSEC, cryptography, cybersecurity, and secure communications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military experience in communications, Signal, cyber, intelligence, operations, or a related field.
• Prior enlisted military experience.
• Experience supporting a G-6, S-6, J-6, CIO, or similar military communications/cyber organization.
• Hands-on experience with ETMS2, including receiving, staffing, coordinating, routing, tracking, and closing Army or DoD taskers.
• Experience managing complex Government staff actions involving multiple organizations, stakeholders, dependencies, and suspense dates.
• Experience with Army or DoD executive staffing processes and preparing actions for senior military or civilian leadership.
• Hands-on experience with military radios, tactical communications systems, SATCOM, secure voice/data systems, or other communications equipment.
• Familiarity with COMSEC equipment, cryptographic key management, encryption technologies, Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), or secure communications.
• Experience interacting directly with Warfighters to understand operational communications requirements.
• Familiarity with National Security Systems (NSS), National Security Information (NSI), NSA/CSS guidance, NIST publications, FIPS, or related cybersecurity and cryptographic requirements.
• Experience preparing briefings, information papers, decision papers, executive summaries, or other products for senior Government or military leadership.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a driven, dependable, and intellectually curious professional who understands how to operate effectively in a military staff environment and is eager to develop deeper expertise in Army communications and COMSEC.

We are not necessarily looking for a career COMSEC subject matter expert. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works hard, follows through on commitments, learns quickly, and can independently drive actions and taskers to completion.

The successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with technical personnel, Warfighters, Army staff, and senior leaders while managing multiple priorities in a high-tempo environment.

Candidates with military operational experience, ETMS2/tasker management experience, tactical communications or radio experience, Army/DoD staff experience, and exposure to COMSEC are strongly encouraged to apply.
