RBR-Technologies is seeking Russian Operational Language Analysts to support one of our customers in Maryland.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Russian Operational Language Analyst will be located at FT Meade, Maryland and transcribes and/or translates source material, both printed and audio, provides analysis and reporting of translated foreign language source material, and quality control of junior linguists. They typically work as part of or may lead a team of linguists supporting operations CONUS or OCONUS. Must be a U. S. citizen and able to obtain a customer granted security clearance. Must possess native or near native proficiency in the foreign language, typically a 3/3 on the DLPT.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recover Essential Elements of Information from foreign language audio and graphic language materials. Prepares and updates operational working aids and databases.
  • Transcribes and translates complex and sophisticated foreign language audio and graphic language materials into good grammatical English. Prepares and updates databases of translated source material.
  • Gist complex and sophisticated audio and/or graphic foreign language material.
  • Scan and sort/categorize foreign language materials.
  • Perform quality control review of translations and/or transcripts of complex and sophisticated audio and/or graphic foreign language material.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph required to be considered

Junior Language Analyst
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time transcription, translation or other language-related cryptologic experience.
  • High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent.
  • Performance at Level 2 in Russian listening and reading as defined by the Interagency
  • Language Roundtable (ILR) or Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) is required.
  • Must have demonstrated superior and professional competency in their previous assignments and positions.

Intermediate Language Analyst
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years of full-time transcription, translation or other language-related cryptologic experience.
  • Two (2) of the four (4) years of experience within the last four (4) years.
  • AA degree/AS degree or 2 years of additional related experience is required.
  • Performance at Level 3 in listening or reading as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) or Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) is required.

Senior Language Analyst
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent (In lieu of the bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted)
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of full-time transcription, translation or other language-related cryptologic experience.
  • One (1) year of experience performing quality control review of ILR 3 audio and/or graphic foreign language material.
  • Performance at Level 3 in listening or reading as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) or Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) is required.

Expert Language Analyst
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent (In lieu of the bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted)
  • Must have fifteen (15) years of full-time transcription, translation or other language-related cryptologic experience.
  • Three (3) year of experience performing quality control review of ILR 3 audio and/or graphic foreign language material.
  • Performance, within the last two (2) years, at Level 3 in listening AND reading as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) or Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) is required.
