The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Linen Service Worker collects soiled laundry, sorts, weighs, and dries according to established policies, procedures and instructions for machine operation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-12 months’ general laundry experience

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Answer telephones and take messages appropriately
  • Assembles and places linen on exchange carts for delivery to nursing units according to pre- established scheduled and par levels
  • Collect soiled linen from designated collection areas throughout the facility within the established time frames
  • Deliver all clean linen exchange carts to the proper areas within the established time frames
  • Maintain daily log/tracking forms
  • Maintain the department and soiled utility rooms in a clean and safe environment
  • Stock all clean linen on exchange cart
