LAUNDRY ATTENDANT JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service at Villa Roma Resort & Conference Center by processing, washing, drying, and organizing linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel textiles in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Sort and process incoming laundry according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements

- Operate industrial washing and drying equipment safely and efficiently

- Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain appropriate cleaning solution levels

- Fold and organize clean linens, towels, and uniforms according to department standards

- Inspect textiles for stains, damage, or wear and handle accordingly

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility

- Track inventory of linens and supplies

- Support other departments with linen needs as required

- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures

- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisor

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Skills and Abilities

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repeated bending, stretching, and lifting

- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly

- Strong attention to detail
