Job description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist proficient with the Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator and ARRT certification for a day-shift outpatient cancer center role.
Job Details
• Work in an outpatient cancer center Radiation Therapy department,
• Adult acute care and outpatient patient population,
• Treatments include external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, and prophylactic treatments,
• Cases include benign brain tumors, heterotopic bone, keloids, and superior vena cava syndrome,
• Uses Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator and ARIA treatment planning systems,
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records,
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 4x10-hour shifts (7:30am-5:30pm, later depending on patient volume),
• No on-call requirements,
• Floating expected unless otherwise stated,
Job Requirements
• Active ARRT(T) certification required,
• Current BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist required,
• Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator required,
• Epic experience within the last 12 months required, including documentation of where it was used,
• Must pass Epic competency exam with only one attempt allowed,
• Community hospital experience preferred,
• License required if applicable,
• Must be clean-shaven if fit testing is required,
Additional Information
• Provide radiation therapy treatment including beam modifying and positioning, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and wedge use,
• Care for patients with cancers such as Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, kidney, pancreatic, and testicular cancer,
• Responsibilities include chart checks, patient/family teaching, and care of patients in restraints,
• Adherence to radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE protocols required,
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate,
• Open to first-time travelers with required experience,
• No block scheduling or special schedule accommodations will be made,
• All RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration; additional time off will not be approved afterward
