Step into Precision: Roll-to-Roll Slitting Technician

Picture this: you arrive at our Cary facility ready to turn wide rolls into perfectly measured, production-ready material. Your work keeps our press, lamination, and pouch teams moving—and ensures our customers receive rollstock that meets exacting specs every time.

Choose Your Schedule (Cary Location)
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Monday–Friday
A Day in the Life
  • Review work orders to support the press, lamination, and pouch departments, along with customer rollstock needs.
  • Set up the slitter by selecting tools, spacing knives, and aligning cores for accurate widths and edge quality.
  • Measure to 1/16 of an inch and verify lineal footage using strong basic math—accuracy is everything.
  • Move large material rolls using assist equipment; lift up to 65 lbs; and keep product organized and labeled.
  • Monitor quality throughout the run and document results consistent with ISO-driven processes.
  • Work around manufacturing chemicals and occasional strong odors while following safety procedures.
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 2+ years of complex mechanical work (e.g., taking apart cars or machines, replacing engines/transmissions) is required.
  • 1+ year of machine operator experience is a plus but not required.
  • Comfort standing and walking for your entire shift, with the ability to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Solid math skills to add, subtract, divide, and multiply to calculate footage and lineal footage.
  • Ability to make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test).
  • Physically fit with no restrictions; able to lift up to 65 lbs and push/pull very large rolls weighing several hundred pounds using equipment.
  • Ability to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
  • Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred.
  • Previous lamination, packaging, or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but NOT required — WE WILL TRAIN.
