The Director, International Wealth Management is accountable for developing, leading, and overseeing delivery teams who are responsible for working with cross-functional development teams and business stakeholders to define and implement business strategies, product roadmaps, service offerings and new features.

The Director contributes to the long-term profitability of the International Wealth Management business line by establishing performance goals and work practices which drive the design and development of high-quality products and solutions.

This is a demanding hands-on and strategic role which requires the incumbent to be knowledgeable of the financial services sector and emerging trends in the Wealth and Asset Management industry.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
  • Management and oversight for delivery of a portfolio of initiatives focused on client and advisor solutions, ensuring that the deliverable align with strategic priorities.
  • Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout the delivery teams to influence a client-centered design culture and to deepen relationships with business stakeholders and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, processes and knowledge.
  • Understand and keep up to date with emerging technologies, trends and innovative solutions across the industry.
  • Collaborate with business SMEs and technology teams to create platform roadmaps that align and assist in moving business strategies forward.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure prioritization is driven by business value.
  • Define, lead and execute a cohesive strategy designed to limit technological debt and to effectively manage transition from legacy systems to modern technology platforms, maximizing operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong supportive relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Manage engagement with bank stakeholders and effectively communicate product release contents and expected product capabilities/customer journey.
  • Engage with the engineering and design teams to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable implementation schedule to launch products on a regular basis.
  • Manage communications and status reporting of ongoing initiatives, including summarizing project risks and options and facilitating prompt decisions when needed.
  • Maintain an understanding of financial services markets, the competitive landscape and digital transformation trends relative to the Wealth and Asset Management sector and client/user needs and requirements.
  • You possess a visionaryand strategicleadershipwhileinspiringteam of solution architects and engineerstoembrace your vision andbe best in class team responsible forimplementing and maintaining Wealth Technology solutions.
  • You are future focused with the ability to develop roadmaps and build business cases including benefits and costs
  • You thrive in providing strong leadership and driving employee empowerment and a high degree of engagement.
  • You excel in overseeingthe architecture and design of solutions for the enterprise in a large and distributed environment.
  • You have experience delivering complex projects providing global, innovative solutions that improve the delivery of Wealth products
  • You excel inthe assessment and selection of Global Wealth technologies and integration partners.
  • You excel in relationship, stakeholder management and influencing and negotiation skills, effective at all levels up to senior executives.
  • You can efficiently perform management tasks including incident response and escalations; vendor & contract management; infrastructure management and service resiliency; and service ownership.
  • You enjoy challenges of working on different types of projects (from large complex to simple).
  • You collaborate with various business functionsto ensure Wealth Technology meets business needs.

  • Individual projects range from Minor Enhancements ($50K+) to major strategic initiatives with $10MM+ budgets in a given year.
  • Demonstrated success delivering applications in an agile environment, strong organization and planning skills with a track record of successful delivery
  • Experience in leading and coaching delivery teams, with track record of attracting and developing talent
  • Critical thinking skills: using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions, recommendations, summarize conclusions and approaches to mitigate risks
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with business and technology partners
  • Relevant working experience in the financial sector, Wealth and Asset Management experience
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment and parameters impacting the design and delivery of products and services within the Asset Management industry
