What is a line pre cook?

Line pre cooks are kitchen staff members responsible for preparing ingredients and performing basic cooking tasks to support line cooks and chefs. Their duties often include chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, assembling simple dishes, and ensuring that cooking stations are well-stocked and organized. Line pre cooks play a vital role in maintaining efficiency and consistency in a restaurant's kitchen, especially during busy service hours.
