Job Overview
We are currently looking for Paint Line Operators & Paint Line Painters to join our team in Holland, MI on the weekend shift.
Schedule is from 6:00am-6:30pm, Friday-Sunday. OT is voluntary!
As a Paint Line Operator, you will:
  • Sequences and hangs or unloads parts for paint runs according to production dispatch. Verifies and updates production system accordingly. Flexes throughout department as needed.

As a Paint Line Painter, you will:
  • Runs the paint line. Maintains stock of raw paint materials and chemicals, references paint schedule and sets up and prepares the line for product runs. Monitors painting process (pre-wash through cure) to ensure complete paint coverage. Troubleshoots problems based on experience with equipment.

Required Qualifications
  • 8th grade education
  • Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to flex work schedule and overtime may be required including weekends and/or holidays per business demands
  • The ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior paint line experience.
  • Ability to utilize appropriate electronic production system to complete job duties, along with the respective technology tools, e.g. personal computer (PC), tablet, keyboard, mouse, RF gun.
  • Ability to verify correct product by size and color.
  • Ability to maintain loading/unloading line pacing.

Paint Line Operator Essential Functions
  • Verifies the proper part per paint sequence based on launch dispatch monitors.
  • Distinguishes parts by size and color, selects proper rack, selects hang pattern, hangs parts and unloads rack information into system to launch paint process.
  • Removes product from line, inspects parts; reports identified quality problems to team lead. Organizes parts in correct racks/carts for assembly.
  • Maintains product inventory.
  • Returns hanging paint racks to appropriate storage area for reuse.

Paint Line Painter Essential Functions
  • Accesses production schedule to make sure correct parts are on hand. Verifies parts received match schedule.
  • Maintains inventory to ensure paint availability. Uses powered industrial truck (PIT), hand truck or dolly to load/move materials to work area.
  • Programs recipes into paint booths to ensure correct paint coverage for each part. Fills containers with prescribed quantities of paint, chemicals, or other materials; verifies correct paints are placed in hoppers and corresponding booths. Changes out paint/powder as needed.
  • Monitors paint room computer system to verify painting sequence and all other paint functions (wash tank, spray guns, booth set-up, dry off and cure oven). Makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Manually paints parts if quantity is minimal or for special/unique products.
  • Maintains paint area. Cleans spray tanks, hoses, and nozzles, using solvent, brushes, and cloths. Responsible for booth cleaning.
  • Performs all required preventive maintenance.
  • Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
