About The Opportunity

Line Leaders in Menasha Packaging Canada L.P. are integral team members to ensure that we are able to provide the highest level of customer service to our customers. This includes achieving efficient production levels, maintaining a high level of quality, and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a safe way.
To do this, the Line Leader will ensure open lines of communication, managing line workers efficiently, ensuring all materials to complete a job are available, and to operate/maintain equipment regularly. All required documentation will be completed with attention to detail while ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is maintained on each production run.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and train all general labour personnel in the assembly of displays and other packaging.

Maintain and follow GMP guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment

Continually observe and improve production efficiency

Reconciliation of feeder stock and components at the end of each shift. Discrepancies to be reported to the Production Supervisor

Foster and maintain open lines of communication

Communicate any quality issues with the quality inspectors.

Attention to detail is essential to ensure high quality products are delivered to the customer

Capable to perform in a fast pace environment

Working regularly with computer software such as Microsoft Office/Windows

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed

Education & Experience

  • High School or equivalent

Previous experience on packaging equipment is considered an asset

One (1) to two (2) years of pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic packaging and machine operating experience are considered an asset but is not required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic understanding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Ability to read production specifications

Effectively build strong teams

Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Maintain and high level of trust and integrity

WMS software, Microsoft Office, SAP are all considered an asset

Proficient use of the English language (Reading, Writing, Speaking)

Physical Requirements:

Primarily works in a factory and/or warehouse setting

Position may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location

Lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis

Standing for long periods of time

Stooping, walking, and lifting on a regular basis
