Job Summary

In a production environment, Production Associates handle packaging and salt material and operating equipment to ensure production achieves safety, quality and productivity goals as set out by the Plant Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handles and lifts, and moves empty and full salt bags and packages.
  • Operates baggers and sealers according to established procedures.
  • Ensure product is bagged, sealed and palletized according to specifications.
  • Aid and assist the line leader.
  • Ensure only product that meets specifications is passed to the next process step.
  • Work safely and responsibly and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform work according to accepted procedures and practices.
  • Keep accurate records of production data.
  • Communicate all concerns affecting safety, quality, productivity and the work environment to the Line Leader.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Must be able to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses & hard hat.
  • Must be able to speak and read basic English.
  • Must be able to attend work regularly, as attendance is a requirement of the position.
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures in production environment.
  • Prefer candidates who have production or manufacturing experience.
  • Prefer candidates who have experience operating equipment.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $18.20. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location. This position is for an existing vacancy.
