What is a line associate?

Line Associates are workers who perform tasks on a production or assembly line in factories or manufacturing plants. Their responsibilities typically include assembling products, inspecting items for quality, packaging goods, and ensuring that production targets and safety standards are met. Line Associates often work as part of a team, following specific instructions and processes to keep the production line running smoothly. This job usually requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Training is often provided on the job, and positions may be entry-level or require prior manufacturing experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a line associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Line Associate, you need strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow standardized procedures, often with a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with basic manufacturing equipment, safety protocols, and sometimes barcode scanning or inventory systems is typically required. Teamwork, reliability, and effective communication are important soft skills that set top performers apart. These abilities ensure production efficiency, product quality, and a safe, collaborative work environment.

What are some common challenges faced by line associates in a manufacturing environment, and how can they be addressed?

Line Associates often encounter challenges such as maintaining consistent speed and quality during repetitive tasks, adapting to changes in production schedules, and ensuring safety in a fast-paced environment. These can be addressed through thorough onboarding, clear communication with supervisors, and ongoing training on equipment and safety protocols. Collaborating with team members and staying attentive to workflow adjustments can also help Line Associates adapt more easily and maintain productivity.

Job description

Sales Associate — Club Pilates [Location] Base Pay + Commission + Performance Bonuses + 401(k) — Top performers earn $16+ per hour

If you love talking to people, closing sales, and being part of a team that invests in you — this role was built for you.

About Club Pilates

Born in San Diego in 2007, Club Pilates has grown into the largest boutique Pilates brand in the world — delivering millions of workouts each year and helping people live stronger, healthier lives. We stay true to Joseph Pilates' original Reformer-based Contrology Method while modernizing the experience with group classes, premium equipment, and a community that keeps members coming back.

We believe Pilates changes lives. Our sales team is how those lives walk through the door.

This Isn't Your Average Studio Job

We're a small, close-knit team in a boutique environment — which means you're not a number here. You'll be coached consistently, scheduled with your life in mind, and recognized when you win. We develop our people on purpose, and we promote from within. If you want a workplace that feels like a team and pays you like a performer, keep reading.

The Role

This is a true sales role — not a receptionist position. You are the first impression of the studio, responsible for generating leads, booking appointments, delivering tours, and converting prospects into long-term members. You'll be measured on performance, coached to improve, and rewarded when you deliver.

Who Thrives Here

You enjoy selling and genuinely connecting with people. You're motivated by goals, numbers, and results — and you want your effort to show up in your paycheck. You can build rapport quickly, ask for the sale confidently, and follow through without being reminded. You want to grow, whether that means getting better at sales or stepping into a leadership role down the road. Fitness experience is helpful — but strong sales instincts and dependability matter more.

What You'll Do

Execute the full sales cycle — lead follow-up, studio tour, close — using a conversation-first approach that feels natural, not pushy. Conduct discovery conversations that uncover what a prospect is actually looking for, then show them exactly how Club Pilates gets them there. Sell memberships, private training, teacher training, and retail products. Hit your monthly targets and track your own metrics — you'll always know where you stand. Get out in the community — we participate in local events, farmers markets, health fairs, business partnerships, and neighborhood activations. It's one of the best parts of the job: representing a brand you're proud of, meeting people where they are, and having fun doing it. Support current members with the kind of service that makes them stay and refer their friends. Use ClubReady to manage your pipeline, log activity, and stay on top of your lead queue. Grow — through regular coaching, feedback, and real opportunities to move into senior sales or management.

What We're Looking For

Someone with strong communication and sales skills and a track record of hitting or exceeding targets. You're dependable — your team and your members count on you. You're comfortable talking to people one-on-one and in small groups. You handle a fast-paced shift with professionalism and energy. You're coachable — you want feedback and you actually use it.

Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation required.

Compensation & Perks

Competitive base pay plus uncapped commission — top performers earn $20+ per hour. Performance bonuses. 401(k). Complimentary or discounted membership. Flexible scheduling built around your availability. Consistent coaching and a clear path to sales leadership and management for people who want it.

Bottom Line

If you're looking for a sales role with real earning potential, a boutique environment where you're known by name, clear goals and genuine coaching, and benefits including 401(k) with room to grow — we want to meet you.
