Line Associates often work as part of a team, following specific instructions and processes to keep the production line running smoothly. Company Summary:

As a rapidly growing global manufacturer of residential and commercial products, Greenworks is leading the charge toward a more powerful and sustainable future. With over 20 years of research and development, including over 1000 patents in outdoor power equipment, power tools, and lifestyle products, we're pushing the limits of what battery technology can do to improve the quality of work and life.

Position Summary:

The Team Coordinator – Production Assembly is an advanced, hands-on leadership role that expands upon Team Leader responsibilities by providing greater coordination, technical expertise, and day-to-day support across the assembly line.

The Team Coordinator remains actively engaged in production while serving as a go-to resource for Team Leaders and associates. This role focuses on execution, consistency, and communication — ensuring standard work is followed, production goals are supported, and issues are identified and communicated promptly to supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily production activities to support safe, efficient assembly line operations.
  • Serve as shift-level support by monitoring overall line readiness, start-up conditions, and production flow throughout the shift.
  • Assist with balancing labor and workflow across stations to meet daily production targets and changing priorities.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support to Team Leaders and assembly associates to reinforce standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Act as a key communication link between the production floor and supervision by providing real-time status updates and escalating risks or trends.
  • Identify recurring production, quality, material, or attendance issues and communicate trends to supervisors to support timely problem resolution.
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees by coordinating on-the-job training activities and reinforcing safety and quality expectations.
  • Attend leadership or production meetings as requested and provide accurate updates on line performance, staffing status, quality concerns, and operational risks.
  • Assist with cross-training efforts by identifying skill gaps and supporting training coverage to improve flexibility.
  • Observe work practices and reinforce adherence to standard work across all stations to ensure consistency.
  • Support updates to work instructions by providing feedback based on production floor observations.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and consistently.
  • Track, update, and communicate daily production metrics including output, efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime.
  • Maintain and update visual management boards or shift metrics to support team awareness and accountability.
  • Coordinate with Materials and Warehouse teams to verify material readiness and prevent line disruptions.
  • Monitor component usage trends and alert supervision to shortages or inventory risks.
  • Maintain certification in all assembly stations and provide hands-on support as needed to maintain production flow.
  • Perform assembly and inspection tasks as required to support production needs.
  • Reinforce safe work practices, housekeeping standards, and proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Participate in safety walks, hazard identification, and corrective action follow-up as requested.
  • Support continuous improvement activities such as 5S, standard work reviews, and waste reduction efforts.
  • Model teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support production operations.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing experience; experience in lawn and garden or outdoor power equipment manufacturing is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Team Leader or senior production associate is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence, coach peers, and support team performance without formal supervisory authority.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, standard work, and production flow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other production tracking or reporting systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of motivation, accountability, and reliability with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
