What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will interface with the national logistics organization under the Director of Distribution South Region to optimize product distribution resources and meet key performance indicators
  • And you will oversee daily management of distribution operations, supporting 20 to 30 professional drivers, and provide operational support to other Distribution Superintendents
  • Implement and enforce safety programs, training, and compliance with quality assurance systems and government regulations
  • Supervise truck drivers and maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to all safety, environmental, permitting, and product quality policies
  • Manage hiring, training, and record-keeping for drivers, maintain fleet schedules, and coordinate housekeeping of distribution areas
  • Further, you will lead productivity initiatives by identifying and applying cost reduction and process improvement projects, resolve delivery issues, and conduct investigations as needed
  • Also, you will maintain driver scheduling, expense approvals, and regulatory paperwork, review trip efficiency and safety data, and develop improvement plans
  • Remain accessible during off-hours via laptop and cell phone and be available to travel up to 10% of the time
