Exterior Lighting Technician โ€“ Lead Unique Exterior Installations for Illuminating Design Inc.


Job Overview

  • Company: Illuminating Design Inc.
  • Salary/Pay Rate (Without License): $20 - $22/Hr.
  • Salary/Pay Rate (W/General Low Voltage License): $25+ Per Hour
  • Performance Based Bonus.
  • Location: Peachtree Corners, GA.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Project Scope: Residential, Commercial, Government or Federal.
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required.


The Opportunity

You will serve as a key field professional, transforming homes, communities, and event spaces into stunning environments. This role allows you to design experiences rather than just install lights, working on unique installations that bring communities together. You will have the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced environment where leadership actively wants you to succeed.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Execute high-quality landscape, architectural, holiday, and event lighting installations.
  • Accomplish specific daily goals and performance metrics with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and team members to ensure professional service.
  • Manage warehouse responsibilities to support upcoming project preparation and organization.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely on client properties.
  • Analyze real-time site layout details to ensure flawless aesthetic alignment and functionality.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of Landscape, Roofing, Gutter Cleaning, Outdoor Painting, Architectural, or Holiday Lighting Installation Experience.
  • Proven ability to work comfortably at heights on ladders and roofs for extended periods.
  • Physical capacity to lift 50+ lbs and work efficiently within tight spaces like attics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency following complex written and verbal instructions on active job sites.
  • Strong track record of punctuality, reliability, and maintaining clean work environments.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends when needed


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiarity with LED systems, low-voltage lighting, and basic wire management.
  • Possession of a General Low Voltage license or experience operating heavy aerial lifts.
