Your Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers to support the various needs of Swanson Rink's clients including master planning, systems analysis, site studies, and preparation of construction documents.
  • Work with clients through the criteria development stage to determine client needs and goals.
  • Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and design experience in several of the items below:
    • Power design, including layout and circuiting of receptacles, miscellaneous equipment, mechanical equipment, and completion of panel schedules.
    • Lighting design, including lighting fixture selection, layout, circuiting, and controls for interior and exterior applications.
    • Design of intermediate to complex electrical one-line diagrams.
    • Technology systems design relating to the layout of fire alarm, security, telecommunications and audio/video equipment.
    • Short circuit and voltage drop calculations.
    • Fuse and circuit breaker coordination studies.
    • Power design associated with UPS and generator support systems.
    • Perform studies on various electrical systems, identify options and potential solutions. Provide related cost comparisons.
    • Develop specifications for the lighting and power systems.
    • Review contractor's shop drawings and submittals.
    • Conduct construction observations and prepare reports.
    • Perform required design calculations.
  • Provide technical supervision of assigned electrical designers, electrical engineers and CAD staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the Company, Clients and the Client's design team participating in a project.
  • Apply local and national building codes.
  • Survey existing site conditions and plan new work accordingly.
  • Conduct construction observations.
  • Train and motivate employees, providing technical supervision of support staff.
  • Maintain a superior level of service to our clients, ensuring the timely completion of project deliverables.

Requirements
Your Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • Demonstrated supervisory/leaderships skills and/or minimum of one-year supervisory experience or combination of skills and experience necessary to lead a team of Engineers.
  • Requires the ability to pass background checks, security screenings or drug testing as required by our clients and/or Federal contracts.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 and will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
