Commercial Electrical JourneymanPosition Summary
Clark Electric is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Journeyman to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on commercial construction projects. This position may also direct Electrician Mechanics, Helpers, and apprentices while ensuring work meets company, NEC, and local safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, transformers, switchgear, controls, and related electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and job specifications.
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot circuits and electrical systems.
- Ensure work complies with NEC requirements, local regulations, and company standards.
- Lay out lighting and complete installations using EMT, RMC/GRC, PVC, and MC cable.
- Direct and mentor Mechanics, Helpers, and apprentices.
- Coordinate work with supervisors, project managers, other trades, and clients.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and equipment guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Florida or a reciprocal jurisdiction.
- At least four years of commercial electrical experience.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Proficiency with conduit installation, hand and power tools, benders, meters, and testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to safely operate trenchers, lift trucks, aerial lifts, and related equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Successful completion of a drug screening.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and reach overhead for extended periods.
- Adequate vision and hearing, with or without correction.
