Job description

Oak River Deliveries is contracted to deliver packages for Fedex. We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to transport packages primarily in rural areas of South Dakota using a light delivery van. This role involves driving over 100 miles daily and working independently within a small team. The ideal candidate will ensure packages are delivered safely and efficiently, adhering to all compliance standards, including passing background and drug screenings as well as DOT physical. Seasonal fluctuations in delivery volume require adaptability and strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver packages accurately and on time across rural routes
  • Inspect vehicle daily to ensure safety and operational readiness
  • Drive safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Interact professionally with customers and provide excellent service
  • Load and unload packages carefully to prevent damage
