Job Description
The Assembly Technician-III is a highly skilled technical lead who brings deep product knowledge and advanced certifications to the most complex assembly and service challenges on the floor. You will handle high-level assembly (HLA) tasks, serve as a go-to expert for specialized technical issues, and hold or pursue advanced certifications including S-Tec and SRAM Technical University. Your expertise and leadership set the standard for quality and craftsmanship across the team.
This will take place at our HQ in Waterloo, WI.
Standard shift is 6a-2p, Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute high-level assembly (HLA) tasks requiring advanced technical skill

  • Apply S-Tec knowledge and standards to complex builds and quality reviews

  • Leverage SRAM Technical University training to service and set up high-end drivetrain components

  • Act as the floor's primary technical resource for escalated issues and difficult builds

  • Mentor advanced and entry-level Technicians, sharing expertise and best practices

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help develop SOPs

  • Audit completed builds for quality and compliance with Trek specifications

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams when technical issues arise

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in bicycle assembly, advanced mechanical service, or a closely related technical field

  • Proficiency in high-level assembly processes and advanced component installation

  • S-Tec certification (or ability to obtain)

  • SRAM Technical University certification (or ability to obtain)

  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and elevate team members

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to document technical processes clearly
