• Establish meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients, creating an atmosphere where they feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
• Implement and adapt evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client, fostering personal insights and sustainable change.
• Engage in active listening to validate and respect clients’ experiences, ensuring they feel understood and valued throughout their therapeutic journey.
• Collaborate regularly with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and peer counselors, to deliver holistic and effective therapeutic care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, supervision, and self-reflection activities to enhance your counseling skills and clinical effectiveness.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will have the opportunity to serve clients from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive approach that respects cultural differences and promotes equity in mental health care.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required for this role.
• Must hold a valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) certification in the state of California.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in clinical counseling, with a preference for candidates with five (5) or more years of experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to establish rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and management, providing immediate support in high-stress situations.
• Experience working with specialized populations or presenting issues, such as substance abuse, childhood trauma, or domestic violence.
• Familiarity with group therapy techniques and experience leading therapeutic group sessions.
