Critical to the success of the position includes:
  • Revenue growth and market penetration of both multifamily and commercial segments
  • Existing customer management and new customer development
  • Lead generation, prospecting, and sales conversion within the assigned region

Essential Functions

  • Train new and existing applicators and distributors (if applicable) on the installation of Maxxon products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the applicator network.
  • Represent Maxxon at national and local trade shows.
  • Increase product awareness of both multifamily and commercial products through presentations, phone conversations, and email communications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, builders, consultants, and general contractors, and provide technical support throughout the region.
  • Develop sales and training presentations and handouts to educate the Maxxon applicator network.
  • Present the Maxxon product line to architectural firms and general contractors to increase product specifications and use.
  • Manage and resolve problem-floor investigations on behalf of Maxxon and the applicator network.
  • Monitor competitive activity within the region.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to identify messaging that supports sales efforts and to secure product and customer specification information.

Ideal candidate Will
  • 5+ years of building-product sales management experience.
  • A strong customer-service orientation and commitment to developing long-term relationships.
  • Ability to consult with architects on how floor/ceiling assemblies achieve desired acoustical ratings.
  • Ability to lead and develop marketing initiatives within the region.
  • Versatility and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven success managing a profit center, including meeting regional sales and financial objectives, forecasting, preparing annual budgets, scheduling sales and marketing expenditures, and implementing changes when needed.
  • Excellent customer-service and presentation skills.
  • Ability to become a trusted, honest advisor to current and prospective customers regarding underlayment, sound control, and small-business needs.
  • Ability to act quickly on customer concerns, investigate situations, and recommend solutions.

What's In It For Me?
  • Maxxon is an industry leading, 50+ year, successful business.
  • Competitive compensation and sales incentive program.
  • Generous medical and dental benefits along with a 401K.

Share with us your talent and drive and we will provide a creative and supportive environment, where your valuable contributions are rewarded and celebrated with professional growth, job satisfaction, and an attractive total compensation program.
