Summary

We are looking for a Life Insurance Analyst to join us at our Vancouver or Toronto offices. In this role, you support senior staff across a broad range of operational, analytical and administrative functions, with a particular focus on insurance operations and client files.

Role Overview

Your role will include:

  • Assisting staff and managers in daily operations, with a focus on insurance activities
  • Assisting the executive team in planning and executing operational and strategic initiatives
  • Supporting the preparation and review of client and policy documentation
  • Assisting with the administration of applications, renewals and policy changes
  • Maintaining client and policy records, and keeping data accurate across systems
  • Liaising with insurers, underwriters and service providers on outstanding items
  • Researching insurance products and providers as directed by senior staff
  • Identifying and implementing process enhancements, automation opportunities, and best practices
  • Preparing reports and presentations
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance metrics

Required Skills or Experience

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally in business, commerce, finance or a related field
  • Minimum 3.7/4.0 cumulative GPA
  • Interest in or exposure to the insurance industry considered an asset
  • Comfort working with detailed documentation and records
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional demeanor with client-centric focus
  • Proactive self-starter with problem-solving abilities
