Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the mining team, based in St. Johns, NL, Brampton, Sudbury, or North Bay, ON, office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Prepare civil earthwork engineering drawings and Civil 3D models based on engineering data for
    • Dams and Water Retention Structures
    • Tailings Storage Facilities
    • Waste Rock Storage Facilities
    • Site earthwork planning and development
    • Site grading and drainage
    • Access roads and facilities infrastructure
    • Stormwater management plans including design of retention and detention ponds, lift stations, controlled discharge
  • Coordinate with other disciplines
  • Perform periodic site visits for field checks as required
  • Work alongside the Civil engineering team
  • Provide technical support to project team
  • Prepare civil Material Take-Offs
  • Other responsibilities include preparing as-built drawings, designing, and detailing new components from previous designs, implementing the preparation of specifications, design computations, drawings, models and performing volumetric calculations
  • Support multiple projects, client deadlines and deliverables

What your experience looks like

  • A college degree or diploma
  • Excellent knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD with recent project experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of EPCM/design experience. 
  • Experience within the mining industry 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The hourly range for this role is between $65 - $75. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
