OVERVIEW
As an Unarmed Security Officer on a construction site, you will monitor access points, conduct patrols, assist workers and visitors, and respond to safety or security concerns. This role requires staying alert in an active outdoor job site environment while following post orders and documenting key activities.
This is a long-term position. Once construction is complete, the role will transition into ongoing interior, exterior, and gate security operations, continuing to support a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and the property.
New to security? FCS offers comprehensive training to assist you in obtaining your state guard card and CPR certification, along with hands-on, on-the-job learning. Our supportive, team-focused culture and clear advancement paths make it easy to build a lasting career, whether you're starting as a construction site security officer or moving into supervisory and leadership roles.
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Remain alert to construction-related hazards such as heavy equipment and restricted areas on an ever-changing site including inclement weather conditions
  • Report hazards/suspicious activity, complete daily logs/incident reports, and respond to emergencies per post orders
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors
  • Patrol the site and staff assigned posts; monitor access points and construction activity to support controlled access and safety compliance
  • Transition to interior, exterior, and gate security duties upon
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to obtain an Unarmed Professional Security License as required by the state
  • Must be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED certification
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening, driving record check and background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Proficient English language communication, reading, and writing skills
  • Able to meet all physical demands, including occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs.), and performing tasks such as bending, climbing, running, walking, and standing for long periods of time as needed
  • Previous security, customer service, military, or law enforcement experience is helpful but not required
