About this Job The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. The purpose of this position is to maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of park buildings and rental facilities as well as the grounds. Minimum Qualifications No experience or training required.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of the park. Clean site's grounds, gardens, and water features - collect litter, debris, and trash.
Perform weekly work orders such as maintenance of vehicles, tractors, ATV's, etc. under supervision. Provides a high level of customer service.
Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools: buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. Assists other personnel in the completion of their work for the purpose of support and to supplement in times of staff shortage. Position-Specific Details: Location: Fontainebleau State Park, Mandeville, LA Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period.**Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.** Louisiana as a State, is a Model Employer for People with Disabilities
