Job description

About this Job The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. The Park Technician A completes various physical, custodial, and/or maintenance tasks to include cleaning, preventative maintenance to facilities, removing litter and trash, cleaning various buildings, operating equipment, and assisting with the public. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: No experience or training required.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of the park. Clean site's grounds, campsites, and cabin porches - collect litter, debris, and trash.

Pressure wash all buildings. Provides a high level of customer service. Check in quests for cabins and campsites.

Answer all phone calls & questions regarding reservations. Assists in maintenance when needed. Take payments for guest reservations.

Position-Specific Details: Location: South Toledo Bend State Park, Anacoco, LA Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period.**Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.** Louisiana as a State, is a Model Employer for People with Disabilities.
