EyeSouth's affiliate network consists of over 40 practices with 300+ doctors providing medical and surgical eye care services at over 175 clinic locations and 20+ ambulatory surgery centers throughout Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina. 

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Summer Intern to join our Digital Workplace team. In this role, you will support the design, configuration, and governance of our Microsoft SharePoint Online environment. You will work closely with IT staff and business units to improve internal collaboration, streamline document management, and help employees get the most out of Microsoft 365.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build real-world SharePoint experience in an enterprise setting while contributing to projects that have immediate, visible impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and buildout of SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, and intranet pages Support migration of content from legacy shared drives or file systems to SharePoint Configure permissions, metadata, content types, and search settings in SharePoint Create and maintain Microsoft Lists for team tracking and project management Build basic Power Automate flows to automate document approvals and notifications Develop training materials and quick-reference guides for end users Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SharePoint solutions Participate in team stand-ups, sprint planning, and project retrospectives Document site architecture, governance policies, and configuration decisions

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field Minimum completion of sophomore year by internship start date Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online through coursework, projects, or prior internship Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, or Microsoft Lists Knowledge of SharePoint governance and information architecture principles Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) certification or equivalent coursework Basic HTML/CSS for web-part customization Prior internship or part-time work experience in an IT environment
