Job description
Experience: Some experience in an office setting or school library is preferred.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Care and concern for students' well being
- Technology and computer skills (experience with spreadsheets and Google Docs)
- Highly motivated
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Relate positively to students, teachers, staff, and parents.
- Assist with procedures and operations that relate to the orderly operation of the library media program.
- Instruct, model and reteach appropriate behaviors; reinforcing school-wide expectations while in the library and throughout the school.
- Supervise students and instruct class as needed.
- Be familiar with resources located in the library media center and assist teachers and students when locating materials and checking books in and out (using Follett/Destiny System).
- Assist with preparation of materials and supplies, displays and annual inventory of library materials.
- Perform other duties throughout the school as needed; cafeteria supervision, student drop-off and pick-up, etc.
