Now accepting applications for a full-time Information Technology Manager.Do you want to work where you can enrich the lives of the people in your community? The Urbana Free Library is seeking a forward-thinking, self-motivated individual to join the Library’s leadership team. Duties include overseeing the operation and management of all information technology-supported systems, applications, and services within the Library; providing vision and leadership for the development and implementation of IT strategies and initiatives; and supervising the Library’s IT staff. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience and at least three years progressively responsible work experience with administering computers and computer networks in an enterprise Windows environment. Sampling of additional job functions: Serves as the overall lead and vendor liaison for the Library’s integrated library system and security software; plans and prepares technology budgets and tracks expenses; revises technology-related plans and policies; manages network security systems and PCI compliance.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that can be demonstrated to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position.
  • Three years progressively responsible work experience with administering computers and computer networks in an enterprise Windows environment. Five years preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing MS Office 365.
  • At least one year of prior successful supervisory experience.
  • IT certifications in ITIL, project management, or technical training.
  • Experience with database systems management, CMS administration, programming, and library automation and related software.
