Job description

The First Team Analyst will be responsible for aiding the first team in various forms of technical and tactical analysis and preparation. The successful candidate will possess a versatile set of skills across video and data analysis, a deep tactical understanding of the game and a strong desire to learn.
Essential Functions
  • Film and code all first team training sessions, providing live feedback to the coaching staff when necessary.
  • Lead post-training analysis process - collection of best practice clips to be presented to coaching staff.
  • Maintain library of training drills.
  • Assist on matchday with live coding of games.
  • Conduct post-match analysis in collaboration with coaches to collect & database best practice clips.
  • Assist with recruitment and management of first team interns.
  • Provide specific analysis projects as directed by coaching staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by Head of Analysis or coaching staff.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working within professional or NCAA soccer.
  • Strong understanding of soccer tactics & willingness to learn Nashville SC game model.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficient in the use of Hudl products (Sportscode, Insight, Studio, Wyscout) or equivalent video analysis software.
  • Experience in filming training/matches, as well as flying drones.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, travel consistently & work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, experience in building presentations using video and/or data to provide insights to the coaching staff.
