Position Title Student Library Assistant Department Learning Technology and Library Services Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Supervisor

Purpose of Job
This is a part-time position to help the library finish a reorganization project
General Description and Duties
Tasks:
  • Remove books from shelving and replace them on different shelves.
  • Clean shelves and notify professional staff of damaged shelving and items.
  • Move large amounts of books from one area of the library to another.
  • Keep materials in order and correct placement of items as necessary.
Schedule: Proposed schedule is 4 hours per day; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but different schedules can be discussed with a max of 15 hours per week.
Special Skills or Knowledge Required
Ability to work independently is necessary, and pre-existing knowledge of Library of Congress call numbers is beneficial but not required.
Total Weekly Hours Required $15/hour, Maximum 15 hours per week Physical Demands
Work includes frequent lifting, bending, and reaching over the entire shift.
Exposure to small amounts of dust is expected.
