Description:
  • Create and coordinate promotional materials for the Library’s programs, services, collections, and community initiatives, including flyers, posters, brochures, banners, bookmarks, booklists, literacy calendars, and other print and digital materials.
  • Translate program and service information into clear, visually effective print and digital materials by organizing content, prioritizing key information, and adapting layouts for different formats and audiences.
  • Design and update graphics for the Library’s website, social media platforms, e-newsletters, and digital displays.
  • Assist with the development and execution of seasonal and annual marketing campaigns, including Summer Reading and other Library-wide initiatives.
  • Develop branding and visual assets for new programs, services, campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
  • Update and maintain informational Library publications and promotional materials.
  • Create signage and display materials for in-house use and community spaces.
  • Help maintain the Farmington Community Library’s visual identity and brand standards across print and digital platforms.
  • Photograph and film Library events.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or coursework in graphic design, marketing, communications, visual arts, digital media, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year demonstrated experience creating print and digital promotional materials.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
  • 1 year experience and understanding of layout design, typography, visual hierarchy, and formatting for both print and digital platforms.
  • Basic photography and photo editing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with community organizations that serve a diverse population.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
