Summary

Our Graphic & Digital Designer is a skilled, multi-discipline designer who can move fluidly between print, digital, web, and video while delivering polished, on-brand work across HR Green’s full creative output. From proposal document templates to website content updates and short-form project videos, you'll own your deliverables from concept through production and drive your work forward with a clear focus on priorities and deadlines to support our mission of Building Communities. Improving Lives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Proposals & Presentations

  • Design and produce visually compelling project pursuit materials, primarily in InDesign, that help the business development and Pursuit teams win work
  • Translate complex project information, technical data, and process flows into clear, reader-friendly layouts that communicate value and professionalism
  • Maintain a library of proposal templates, boilerplate graphics, and reusable visual assets the Pursuit team can efficiently draw from

Print Design & Production

  • Design and produce marketing collateral including but not limited to capabilities brochures, project case studies, pocket folders, trade show displays, and award submissions
  • Maintain organized, production-ready file libraries for all recurring print assets

Digital & Social Media Design

  • Supports marketing strategy and develops digital marketing assets across platforms: social media graphics (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube), email templates, digital ads
  • Support motion graphics for social and digital use: animated posts, lower thirds, and short intro/outro sequences using Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro
  • Produce correctly sized, compressed, and formatted assets per channel specifications; ensure digital work meets basic accessibility standards including contrast ratios and legible typography

Front-End Website Design & Maintenance

  • Implement website content updates, design refreshes, and new page layouts within established brand and design guidelines
  • Design web-ready graphics, banners, and visual assets optimized for performance, responsive layouts, and consistent rendering across devices and browsers
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks, reviewing pages for visual consistency, broken elements, and brand compliance before publishing
  • Assist with basic SEO practices including image alt text, file naming, and content formatting that supports search visibility

Video Production & Multimedia

  • Capture and edit professional-quality video content for marketing use: project progress documentation, employee spotlights, client testimonials, event coverage, and social media clips as examples
  • Shoot and edit short-form video optimized for digital platforms including LinkedIn and YouTube, and the HR Green website: managing color correction, audio, titles, and motion graphics through post-production
  • Operate standard professional video equipment including camera, stabilizer/gimbal, and basic lighting setups
  • Organize and maintain a video asset library including raw footage, project b-roll, and finished edits for reuse across campaigns
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on content planning and storyboarding for video projects
  • Produce project time-lapse content from site footage when available, or coordinate with site teams to ensure footage is captured on schedule

Brand & Asset Management

  • Apply brand standards accurately and consistently across all channels
  • Maintain shared design and media asset libraries: logos, photography, video b-roll, icons, templates, and approved typefaces
  • Flag brand inconsistencies across departments and recommend improvements

Technology & Workflow

  • Core tools: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word)
  • Use of WordPress/Elementor CMS or similar for front-end design implementation
  • Use project management tools to track work, communicate status, and meet deadlines across simultaneous projects
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted design and content tools with guidance from senior staff

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent portfolio experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional graphic design experience; portfolio must demonstrate print production, multi-channel digital design, web work, and video or motion content
  • Skilled proficiency in Adobe InDesign; strong skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects; as well as Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • WordPress/Elementor CMS or similar platform experience; basic knowledge of responsive design experience, basic understanding of SEO practices,
  • Solid command of print production specifications: bleed, trim, CMYK/RGB color modes, resolution, and pre-press preparation
  • Video production and editing skills: camera operation, color correction, audio mixing, motion titles, and delivery across digital platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver on schedule with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail in typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency across all channels

Preferred, but not required.

  • Experience in A/E/C, construction, real estate development, or another project-driven service-based industry
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and HubSpot for creating campaign materials
  • Experience with AI-assisted design or video tools and a practical sense of where they add efficiency
Relationship to Others

As a project-based, externally impacting role, we require a high degree of collaboration within the Marketing team and organization-wide to deliver on our branding and communication strategy. There are no direct reports to manage but there is an expectation of vertical and linear communication to maintain creative quality and efficiency.

  • Remain stationary or move about the workspace for extended periods as needed to complete work
  • Exchange accurate information with colleagues, clients, and vendors either verbally, in writing, or through alternative communication methods
