Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Architectural Drafter / Residential Designer to prepare, design, and maintain accurate working drawings for our residential projects. The ideal candidate will create efficient, well-designed homes that align with customer desires and company strategy. This role is vital in ensuring that each home reflects superior design quality, constructability, and value.

Essential Job Functions
  • Customize residential plans per contract specifications with a high level of accuracy.
  • Prepare complete sets of construction drawings for each project, following company drafting standards and processes.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining the company’s plan library, emphasizing aesthetics, value engineering, and functional design.
  • Update base house templates to reflect specification changes and field feedback.
  • Process plan changes through the company workflow and communicate effectively with superintendents and production teams.
  • Conduct on-site field visits with production staff as needed to resolve design-related issues.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and meet customer expectations.

  •  Degree in Architecture, Drafting, or Design (preferred) or equivalent residential drafting experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience using Revit (strongly preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in residential construction or homebuilding desired.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
