The Family Medicine Physician Assistant role is based onsite at our surgical center in Tampa, Florida, a thriving locale known for its beautiful weather, cultural diversity, and vibrant community spirit. • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations, to ensure accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment planning.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated care plans that address the full spectrum of patient needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient requirements, emphasizing preventive measures and lifestyle modifications.
• Administer vaccinations and medications, while educating patients about their health, preventive strategies, and necessary lifestyle changes.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, coordinating referrals to specialists when specialized care is required.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with regulations.
• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and remain engaged with the latest medical advancements and healthcare best practices to enhance clinic operations.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with patients and their families to foster engagement and adherence to care plans.
• Maintain ethical and legal standards in all medical practices and ensure patient confidentiality.

This position primarily focuses on providing care to a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adults, and elderly individuals. Our commitment to a patient-centered approach ensures that all individuals receive tailored care that meets their unique health needs and preferences.

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with an active state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of two years of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a family practice setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on active listening and critical thinking.
• A capacity for sound judgment and decision-making in high-pressure situations.

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
• Experience with the EPIC EMR platform is advantageous.
• A demonstrated history of providing exceptional patient care in a family medicine setting is preferred.
