Job description

Job Summary:
Bay-CSS is seeking a compassionate and reliable Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Lexington Park. The Residential DSP will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse abilities, assisting them in achieving their personal goals and promoting independence in a community-based setting. This position requires availability on Tuesday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm and Saturday from 8am to 2pm.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or training preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role providing support services to individuals with disabilities
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs and attend to individuals' physical needs
  • Commitment to attending and completing all required trainings within the specified timeframe
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Support community outings and recreational activities to promote social engagement and independence
  • Implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies to help achieve personal goals
  • Maintain detailed documentation of daily progress, observations, and incidents in compliance with agency policies
  • Communicate effectively with team members, families, and external stakeholders to ensure holistic care

Additional Information:
  • Shift Timing: Tuesday - Friday 2pm - 10pm, Saturday 8am - 2pm
