IRATA - Rope Access Level 3 Supervisor

Apave Canada has an immediate, Full-Time positions available for Wind Service/Composite Technicians within our Wind Services Department.

Our USA operations provide services from 23 office locations, our United Kingdom operations provide services from 7 office locations, and our Australian operations provide services from 5 locations.  Job Duties

  • Use IRATA standards to safely navigate a wind turbine.
  • Supervise and mentor Level 1 and 2 technicians in rope access techniques.
  • Conducting wind turbine maintenance, inspection, and repair activities.
  • Assisting with the setup, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbine systems and equipment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to complete projects and resolve any issues.
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to wind turbine maintenance.
  • Staying up to date with the latest wind turbine maintenance techniques and technology.
  • Perform simple to complex fiberglass repairs to rotor blades, nacelles, and nose cones on various wind turbines.
  • Support rigging and platform operation teams.


Required Skills and Experience:


The ideal candidate will have the following certifications and experience.

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including at heights.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Full time travel position, requiring overnight stays out of town.
  • IRATA Rope Access Level 3 Certification (mandatory).
  • GWO certification (preferred but not required.
  • Experience with basic electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance tasks would be an asset.


 Safety Requirements: 

  • Steel-toe boots are required; Apave Canada will provide additional PPE.


Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Health benefits that meet or exceed industry standards will be provided after a 3-month probationary period.


Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.

All potential employees will be required to complete an alcohol and drug screening.
