Job description

Starting Wage: $15.55 hour plus tips

The Table Games Dealer is responsible for providing an entertaining, fun atmosphere for guests while dealing Table Games according to the game rules of the table they are working.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deals Table Games to guests according to the rules of the game being played.
  • Maintains an orderly table as well as an appropriate game speed in a courteous manner.
  • Greets each guest individually with a smile, confirming if they are a Players Club member.
  • Determines winning and losing bets.
  • Pays winning bets and collects losing bets accurately according to appropriate odds.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must complete and pass the Three Rivers Casino training course or have external dealing experience.
  • Must know and pass a dealer competency exam on all games required by management.
  • Must be able to pass a live audition.
  • Must be able to deal all games required by management at the appropriate speed with limited errors.
  • Must be able to operate basic equipment such as automated shufflers, etc. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
