Tier 2 SOC Analyst

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Tier 2 SOC Analyst to support CyberPRIMES cybersecurity, privacy, records and information management, and related enterprise support for DHRA, including DMDC and OUSD(P&R). Clearance:  Active Secret

Location:  Alexandria, VA and Seaside, CA

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced analysis of security events escalated from Tier 1 or identified through endpoint, user-activity, network, and other monitoring capabilities.
  • Correlate alerts and supporting data, determine scope and potential impact, and recommend or initiate actions under approved procedures.
  • Support incident triage, escalation, containment coordination, and evidence preservation in collaboration with the incident-response team.
  • Document analysis, actions, and conclusions in Government-approved systems and contribute to SOC event reporting.
  • Support tuning, process improvement, and knowledge transfer that improve detection quality and analyst effectiveness in the 24x7 SOC environment.
  • Apply intermediate information-assurance expertise in approved COTS security-analysis tools, mitigation and compliance checking, security testing, and Tier 2 troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • A Secret clearance is required when the assigned duties require classified information or SIPRNet access.

Compensation Range: 

  • The anticipated salary range the Employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is $94,000 to $127,000 annually.
