  • Maintain Constant Surveillance Of Water And Pool Deck Areas By 10-10 Scanning
  • Assist Swimmers In Distress
  • Provide Emergency Medical Assistance As Trained To Any Person On The YMCA Premise As Necessary

  • Ability To Obtain A Criminal Record Clearance, If Over 18 Years Of Age
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent; Valid Work Permit Required If A Minor
  • Previous Work Experience Preferred
  • Must Be Able To Complete YMCA Swim Test And Pass Entry Written Test
  • Possess A Basic-Level Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) Certification From One Of The Following Organizations: Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard, YMCA, Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Programâ„¢, Boy Scouts Of America (BSA), StarGuard ELITE, United States Lifesaving Association (USLA). Ability To Transition To Red Cross Certification Within 90 Days
  • Complete Required Certifications Within 60 Days Of Hire
  • Complete All Required Branch And Position Specific Trainings As Required Within Two Weeks Of Hire
