Job description

We are STS Systems Defense, LLC a consulting and contracting firm specializing in technical solutions servicing several federal agencies and military installations across the nation. We are seeking a Lessons Learned Improvement Analyst to support our ongoing mission at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. This role requires an active TS/SCI Clearance.
What You'll Do:
  • The contractor shall establish and maintain a repository of Lessons Learned artifacts (documents, presentation slides, notes, observations, etc.) across the 67 CW, the NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS domains and oversee daily operations of the 67 CW Lessons Learned program. All documents shall be saved IAW Government furnished format and uploaded in the appropriate electronic Government approved shared location. Occasional travel to geographically separated units, typically once per quarter, will be necessary. Additional specified tasks include the following:
  • Develop a Lessons Learned Program, with 67 CW Staff assistance, that has repeatable and sustainable processes to include: establishing an electronic display for sharing information (shared space-portal, dashboard, etc.), templates, and developing/hosting wing-wide twice-monthly meetings with representatives from all 67 CW subordinate Groups and Wing staff.
  • Take detailed notes during meetings/activities - 67 CW Lessons Learned events, After Action Reviews (AARs), Lesson Learned symposiums, ad hoc Lessons Learned meetings with 67 CW groups/units - and record lessons learned that are revealed from other events. These notes shall be uploaded and/or stored in an agreed on, accessible location, common drive, lessons learned electronic display, etc. (A005)
  • Examine operational data sources, including but not limited to Mission Reports (MISREPs), Cyber Protection Team Final Reports, unit operational briefings, written operational assessments, and Wing planning documents, to extract and catalogue Lessons Learned relevant to 67 CW operations, activities, and investments.
  • Upload findings onto a common Lessons Learned portal.
  • Establish, maintain, and update daily, as necessary, a Wing-Wide Lessons Learned identified shared space - portal, dashboard, etc. - across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS domains to collect and disseminate Lessons Learned from and across subordinate Groups and Squadrons.
  • Attend all regular Wing Battle Rhythm assemblies to stay abreast of ongoing 67 CW operations, activities, and investments and conduct twice-monthly outreach to subordinate Groups to ensure all Lessons Learned are being submitted and collected.
  • Plan and execute detailed Lessons Learned collection events targeting specific areas of interest for the 67 CW, at the direction of 67 CW leadership.
  • Capture facts and participant observations regarding operations, exercises, projects, incidents, and problems, for assigned areas.
  • Provide a comprehensive report on such targeted Lessons Learned events within two weeks of event completion.
  • Provide accurate, comprehensive, independent and objective analysis to 67 CW leadership, free from inaccuracy, incomplete data, interference, or bias.

What You Bring:
  • 5+ yrs of recent relevant experience support operations.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement frameworks and familiarity with knowledge management principles.
  • Ability to record and create documentation for division repository.
