Job description

Purpose
The Lessons Instructor must develop the skills and talents of team members while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship and encouraging personal development and excellence.
Essential Job Functions
  • Supports the School's mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Coaches and administers the in-school and after-school lesson program
  • Assists in the development of new programs and "out of the pool" activities
  • Ensures the safety and security of all swimmers and Pine Crest students in and around the pool, pool deck, and locker rooms
  • Teaches 3 year old and under "learn to swim" skills and teach adult "learn to swim" skills for people 18 years and older
  • Assists the Lessons Director as needed
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee

Job Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience coaching athletics, specifically a USDA Diving Program.
Certifications and Licenses
USA Diving Coach certification, CPR and First Aid
