What is a Leppo?

The term 'Leppo' does not refer to a widely recognized job title or occupation in most industries. It may be a company name, a surname, or a term specific to a certain organization or context. If you are referring to a job at Leppo Rents, for example, this is a company that rents construction equipment, and jobs there could include roles like equipment rental specialist, mechanic, or sales representative. Clarifying the specific context or industry for 'Leppo' would help provide a more accurate answer.

What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule for jobs generally refers to the expectation that new employees should demonstrate their value within the first three months of employment. For roles like Leppo, this period is often used for onboarding, training, and initial performance assessments to ensure fit and productivity. Employers may use this time to evaluate whether the employee meets job requirements and aligns with company standards.

Job description

Are you the kind of technician who knows your way around a skid steer, mini excavator, or telehandler like it’s second nature? Maybe you’re not actively looking, but you’d make a move for the right shop. This might be it.

At Leppo Rents, we’re looking for diesel mechanics of all skill levels who can hit the ground running and deliver the top-notch service our customers count on. We value experience, hustle, and the ability to think outside the box when solving problems in the field or in the shop.

If you’re ready to join an award-winning company that values its technicians as much as its customers, apply today and discover what it’s like to work the Leppo Way.

What’s in it for you:

  • Competitive pay aligned with your skills ($20–$36/hr and up based on skills)
  • Bi-annual tool allowance
  • Training & development programs to level up your expertise
  • Quarterly & annual performance bonuses
  • Full benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance
  • Paid Holidays, PTO, Floating Holiday, Parental Leave & Community Time Off
  • Company-paid apparel allowance + milestone anniversary gifts
  • 401(k) with company match

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience repairing and servicing compact construction equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, telehandlers, and more)
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and get machines back to work quickly
  • Customer-first attitude – our technicians are the face of our service
  • Team players who are ready to step in and keep projects moving

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on compact construction equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems).
  • Handle routine maintenance to keep our rental fleet in “ready-to-work” condition.
  • Use computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
  • Keep detailed repair and maintenance records and manage work orders.
  • Mentor and collaborate with teammates across Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.

Why join Leppo?

At Leppo Rents, you’re not just another wrench in the shop—you’re part of a team that’s trusted, respected, and invested in. We’ve been recognized as one of the best places to work year after year, because we do things the Leppo Way:

  • We keep our commitments.
  • We value thorough, high-quality work.
  • We empower techs to make good decisions.
  • We encourage questions, growth, and curiosity.

When you join Leppo, you get more than a paycheck—you get a career path, the tools to succeed, and a culture that celebrates your wins.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including maintaining regular and punctual attendance. Duties may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and effective communication with others, in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and applicable federal, state, and local standards.

Leppo Rents is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
