Commercial Lender - Business Banking Officer

Responsibilities Include:
• Generating new business through prospecting, outside calling, networking, and referrals. Making a substantial number of outside, in-person calls on prospects and clients.
• Maintaining and applying a thorough understanding of the bank's credit policy, Consumers eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages.
• Actively participating in local functions within assigned market.
• Providing management with input regarding current market data, policies, and practices.
• Assisting the bank in the promotion of all product lines offered in assigned market.
• Generating loans that maintain an acceptable level of performance.
• Assisting in any requested servicing action within assigned marketing area.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• 5+ years commercial experience in the banking industry with local market knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is strongly preferred.
• Solid credit and analytical skills.
• A thorough understanding of commercial lending practices.
• Proven success in commercial lending and the ability to attain new retail and commercial relationships.
• Strong commitment to community evidenced by active local involvement and networking.
• Proficiency with all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle competing priorities effectively and within established timeframes.
• Working with and referring to other internal business partners.
• High level of ethical behavior Ability to collaborate with associates, business partners and customers to resolve issues.
• Proven success establishing priorities and meeting performance goals under pressure.
