Job Description

Process Optimization & Performance

  • Optimize injection molding processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  • Analyze process and manufacturing data to improve capability, stability, repeatability, cycle times, scrap, and uptime.

  • Monitor production and implement process improvements to maintain optimal processing conditions and standardize best practices.

Advanced Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Lead troubleshooting of complex molding issues involving molds, machines, materials, automation, auxiliary equipment, and process variation.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to restore process stability and production performance.

  • Support production recovery, startup activities, quality issues, and recurring equipment or process concerns.

Validation & Technology Implementation

  • Support mold qualification, requalification, process validation, and mold testing following repairs, engineering changes, transfers, and launches.

  • Assist with implementing new molds, materials, technologies, and production platforms while supporting new product introductions and ramp-ups.

Technical Leadership

  • Coach and mentor Technicians, Setters, Operators, and Production Team Members on scientific molding principles, troubleshooting, and technical best practices.

  • Serve as a technical resource for cross-functional problem solving, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across local and global teams.

Process Governance & Compliance

  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with global standards, process controls, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

  • Maintain process documentation, mold cards, work instructions, and operating standards while identifying risks and recommending improvements.

Experience
  • 5+ years of advanced injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise in scientific molding, process optimization, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

  • Experience with mold qualification, process validation, production launches, and continuous improvement in high-volume manufacturing.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training as needed

  • Starting Hourly Rate $31.60

Education
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, certification, or equivalent combination of education and advanced injection molding experience.

  • Scientific Molding, RJG, or equivalent certification preferred.

Technical Skills
  • Advanced injection molding and scientific molding

  • Process optimization and continuous improvement

  • Root cause analysis and statistical process control (SPC)

  • Mold qualification and validation

  • Manufacturing data analysis

  • Technical coaching and cross-functional collaboration

  • Microsoft Excel and manufacturing systems

    Compensation

    The salary for this position has a range of $31.60 - $31.60 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
