Job Summary

As a Structural Engineer (Substation) Summer Intern at Black & Veatch, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world's most critical infrastructure challenges. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients' goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch.

Chosen candidates will be located in/or relocate to Denver (CO) or Tualatin (OR).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development of design specifications and contract drawings
  • Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
  • Prepare basic calculations 
  • Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling
  • Organize and file project materials and references

Minimum Qualifications

No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Civil Engineering program with a preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering. Preference in coursework is at least 1 design course.  All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
