Job description

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Responsibilities:
  • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
  • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
  • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
  • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
  • Coordinate and manage the preparation of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for family court hearings, providing essential support and maintaining organized records.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and ensure comprehensive case preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
  • Maintain and update case files, ensuring all documentation is current and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement case strategies that align with client goals.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference
