The Legal & Compliance Manager – U.S. is responsible for managing regulatory compliance coordination, licensing and permitting processes, airport authority interface activities, and concession compliance obligations across Plaza Premium Group's U.S. operations. This role partners closely with Legal, Operations, Finance, Airport Relations, and local site leadership to maintain compliance calendars, support audit readiness, and ensure timely execution of regulatory and permitting requirements.


Responsibilities:

Licensing & Permitting Management

  • Track regulatory approvals, business licenses, permits, and related compliance obligations across U.S. lounge locations.
  • Coordinate license and permit applications, renewals, document requests, and follow-ups with internal teams, external counsel, airport authorities, and regulatory agencies
  • Maintain permitting calendars, renewal timelines, and status trackers, escalating issues as needed to reduce business risk.

Airport & Port Authority Compliance Support

  • Serve as the coordination point for airport and port authority documentation requests, privilege permit requirements, badging authorization support, and operational compliance submissions
  • Partner with local operations teams to ensure required documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
  • Support compliance with lease, concessions, and airport authority obligations.

ACDBE/SBE & Concession Compliance Support

  • Maintain documentation supporting ACDBE/SBE participation, concession reporting, and audit readiness
  • Coordinate information gathering for required reports, certifications, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Operations to support accurate and timely compliance reporting.

Operational Compliance Coordination

  • Maintain centralized visibility into regulatory compliance across U.S. sites, identifying upcoming risks, gaps, or deadlines at the portfolio level.
  • Support implementation and tracking of compliance policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
  • Assist with compliance training, documentation, and process improvement initiatives as needed
  • Provide support on ad hoc legal, regulatory, and operational compliance projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or Public Administration required.
  • 5+ years' experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, permitting, legal operations, or airport/concession compliance
  • Experience with airport concessions, hospitality, food & beverage, liquor licensing, or multi-site operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management, documentation, follow-up, and stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions and escalate risk appropriately
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion, with the ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Operations, Finance, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience maintaining trackers, logs, and reporting dashboards is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and handle confidential and privileged information with discretion.
