JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, an esteemed international law firm is looking for a Legal Analyst to join their New York team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze client engagement documents, including Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), engagement letters, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and related agreements.
- Identify legal, operational, and compliance issues, summarize findings, and provide recommendations to attorneys and management.
- Coordinate the client intake and contracting process, including conflict clearance and engagement letter support through the Firm's Business Intake System (BIS).
- Prepare responses to client questionnaires, proposals, and engagement requests by collaborating with attorneys and internal business teams.
- Maintain engagement records, databases, and departmental documentation while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as a resource for attorneys and business professionals regarding client engagement terms and contractual requirements.
- Utilize legal technology, reporting tools, databases, and AI platforms to improve document review and workflow efficiency.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and timely completion of projects.
- Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a law firm, legal department, or professional services environment.
- Experience reviewing contracts, engagement terms, OCGs, RFPs, DDQs, or related legal documentation preferred.
- Familiarity with Aderant, Business Intake Systems (BIS), legal databases, or comparable legal technology is a plus.
