Job Description

Currently looking for able bodied, hard-working, Maintenance Technicians to fill an opening with our company in your area. On the job training will be provided by local supervisors to increase your knowledge in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc. Working at The Tradesman Alliance allows you to become a partner with the company. The Tradesman Alliance is an employee owned company, which means our technicians have the option of owning a business without the back office headaches. 
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician
    Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g. unclog toilets and drains, repair leaks in drains and faucets, replace toilets and faucet fixtures as needed, water heaters, etc.)
    Perform routine painting, carpentry work, etc., as necessary to maintain our Client's facilities in like new condition (e.g. repair a hole in drywall, prep the area, and match the paint to present a uniform and original like new appearance).
    Perform minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g. repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets. Replace, emergency lighting, emergency ballasts, light bulbs, ballasts and sockets if necessary).
    Complete defined field inspections on a scheduled basis so as to incorporate feedback on supplier effectiveness and client feedback. Includes service inspections, and asset inspections.
    Be able to work off a ladder each day. Especially on electrical job. 
    Must be able to be on jobs on time, and be able to be depended upon to show up for work. 
    Be able to travel in your metro area. 
    Availability to take Emergencies on the weekend or after hours when on call. 
    Must be able to submit to random drug tests and periodic background checks for insurance reasons.
    Be able to provide accurate part information if material needs to be ordered.
    Be able to accurately quote jobs while onsite with accurate amount of material and Time needed to complete work, as well as providing detailed scope of work.

Qualifications

    Must possess valid driver's license in good standing.
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    Ability to use and operate handheld device and business systems or document management Database software, including but not limited to Microsoft office, Lotus Notes, MS office (word, Excel).
    Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Company safety policies at all times.
    Daily local travel between properties.

3.    Replace Ballasts (T12, T8, LED, EMG, Etc.)
4.    Replace Fixtures (Lay in, EMG Fixtures, etc.)
5.    Install Outlets/Switches
6.    Run/extend Circuits 
7.    Replace breakers
8.    Test Breakers
9.    Trace Wiring Issues
10.    Rebuild/Replace wooden Dumpster Enclosures
11.    Pressure Washing
12.    Drywall patching
13.    Paint
14.    Install Doors, Door Frames, Door Closers, Door Knobs, etc.
15.    Install VCT Floor Tile
16.    Be able to demo walls
17.    Rodent Prevention
18.    Ceiling tile/ Grid
19.    Water Diversion
20.    Install Hose bibs
21.    Re-route plumbing lines
22.    Replace copper/PVC lines
23.    Be able to identify leaks
24.    Replace Toilets, urinals, Hot water heaters (tank and tank less), sinks, faucets, etc.
25.    Unclog all plumbing lines using Power auger, mini jetter, or bladder
