OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an Electrical Assembler responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components used in signs and related products. Working from production drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions, this role ensures products are built safely, accurately, and in compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Electrical Assembly

  • Install and route electrical wiring, LED systems, power supplies, transformers, and other electrical components in sign products.
  • Assemble electrical components for cabinet signs, pylons, directional signs, channel letters, and other custom products as required.
  • Verify proper placement, routing, and securement of electrical components and wiring.
  • Perform basic electrical testing to verify functionality and quality.

Production Support

  • Read and interpret production drawings, wiring diagrams, work orders, and assembly instructions.
  • Accurately complete required production reporting and data entry.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices required for assembly activities.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment when trained and authorized.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Quality & Safety

  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, material shortages, or production issues to supervision.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively with production, quality, engineering, and supervisory personnel to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Participate in cross-training and departmental training activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Working knowledge of common hand tools and power tools used in manufacturing and electrical assembly.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and work order tracking.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring tools, including tape measures and other basic measuring devices.
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials in accordance with company safety requirements.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, sign fabrication, construction, or a related field.
  • Experience working with LED lighting, power supplies, and low-voltage wiring.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes or other material handling equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment, tools, and material handling devices.

Work Environment:
